1. Everything on your phone
Your garden, plants, pots, secrets, focus sessions, streak, names and settings are stored only on your phone. To delete them:
- Press and hold the Fern icon on your Home Screen.
- Tap Remove App, then Delete App (on Android: Uninstall).
This removes all of it at once and cannot be undone.
2. What our servers hold, and how to delete it
Fern never asks for your name or email. When it first needs our backend, it signs in with a random anonymous ID. With that ID we keep:
- Your Fern Pro status (whether you have Pro, which plan, until when), so Pro keeps working.
- Feedback messages you chose to send from Settings. They are deleted automatically 12 months after you send them.
To have them deleted now, email privacy@inovy.dev with the subject Fern data deletion. Because there is no account, tell us roughly when you used Fern or sent feedback and what it said, so we can find your records. Please do not send receipts or card details. We delete what we can match and confirm within 30 days.
3. What is not deleted
- Your subscription. Deleting Fern or your data does not cancel Fern Pro. Cancel it in your phone’s subscription settings (iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
- Purchase records held by Apple and Adapty for billing and legal reasons.
- Analytics, crash and measurement data already received by Mixpanel, Microsoft Clarity, Sentry and Meta, which is not linked to your name and stays with those providers under their own retention periods. You can stop it going forward with Settings → Share anonymous usage, and in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
